This is a promise of a future in recovery

The Jaywalker Foundation

The Jaywalker Foundation removes the financial barriers for families in need. We fund scholarships so that men who would not otherwise be able to afford treatment can come to Jaywalker and build the kind of life in recovery that lasts.

Give Today

The Jaywalker Foundation provides scholarships for men whose recovery depends on the kind of care Jaywalker provides, and whose lives, or the lives of those who love them, cannot afford to pay for it.

Our Story

The Foundation grew out of years of quiet generosity, from Jaywalker families, alumni, and friends who funded scholarships for men they would never meet. We are formalizing that work so it can be sustained, scaled, and trusted. The Foundation exists so that no man who belongs at Jaywalker is turned away because of money.

See What Makes Our Program Different

It is our belief that recovery is not simply about removing substances; it’s about building a meaningful life worth staying sober for. Located in the heart of Carbondale, Colorado, Jaywalker’s open-community model immerses men in a thriving recovery ecosystem rooted in authentic relationships, accountability, purpose, and connection. Our long-term continuum of care combines master’s-level clinical treatment, family involvement, psychiatric support, adventure and wellness experiences, and deep integration into a strong alumni and 12-Step community. At Jaywalker, men don’t just attend treatment; they become part of a community where recovery becomes a way of life.

A nonprofit committed to giving men a real chance at recovery.

The Jaywalker Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization supporting the work of Jaywalker Lodge in Carbondale, Colorado. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

“I had two months in me when I walked through the door. The Foundation covered the third. That third month is where the work actually started. I am almost four years sober now, and I would not be here without it.”

“We sold what we could. We borrowed what we could. We got him to thirty days, and we were out of money and out of options. Someone at Jaywalker told us about the Foundation. They didn't make us beg. They just helped. He is the man I always knew he could be.”

"Jaywalker saved our son and helped us to show up in the way he needed us in recovery. Despite being healthcare professionals, we had no idea how to support our son. He is sober and married with 3 beautiful sons just 5 years later."

"Jaywalker saved my life and gave me a second chance to start on a new path when I had absolutely no options left. This place is like a home to me and always will be. I came in reeling from years of selfish drug use. Jaywalker taught me how to live life with love and empathy."
